Choosing the right Squarespace plan for your business will help you maximize the potential of your website or online store, but how do you determine which plan is best for your business’ specific needs? Simply follow my easy tips for choosing the Squarespace plan for your business that is as perfectly customizable as your design will be.

Choosing the right Squarespace plan

Compare your options

Squarespace offers 4 different plans that are fantastic for a wide variety of businesses. Comparing your options allows you to make an informed decision based on the needs of your website or online store. Let’s start by reviewing the choices:

1| Personal Plan

The Squarespace Personal Plan is ideal for small businesses that have no more than two website contributors, need an online platform for basic needs such as providing contact information and a description of the business or services, writing a blog, or displaying a portfolio. Although the Personal Plan tends to cater to smaller businesses, your website will have the ability to house up to 1,000 customized pages.

This plan offers benefits such as mobile optimization, website analytics, 24/7 customer support, SSL Security, and a custom domain at no charge for a year with certain Pricing Plans. However, the Personal Plan does not offer any Squarespace Premium Features.

2| Business Plan

The Squarespace Business Plan is ideal for businesses that require a more comprehensive website package with unlimited website contributors and admins managing the site. This particular plan caters to businesses both small and large with a need for an online store, code blocks for customizations, and third-party integration options to enhance their website.

This plan has all of the features that I outlined for the Personal Plan offers but with additional enhancements such as commerce integration with a 3% Squarespace transaction fee, a $100.00 Google Adwords Credit that you can use at any time, promotional pop-ups, announcement bars, commerce analytics, access to GSuite and the Developer Platform, and all other Squarespace Premium Features.

3| Basic Commerce Plan

The Squarespace Basic Commerce Plan is ideal for small businesses whose primary focus is their online store. This plan allows for unlimited sales and offers Commerce Templates that are more suitable for websites with the online store being the primary source of online traffic for business.

This plan has all of the features that I outlined in the Business Plan but also includes commerce-friendly enhancements such as no Squarespace transaction fees, more extensive commerce analytics, domain checkout, label printing, accounting through Xero, and a convenient customer account feature.

4| Advanced Commerce Plan

The Squarespace Advanced Commerce Plan is ideal for businesses with websites that accumulate a high volume of online sales. The Advanced Commerce Plan allows for heavily commerce focused websites to handle all aspects of their online store conveniently in one place.

This plan has all of the features that I outlined in the Basic Commerce Plan but also comes with important eCommerce features such as gift cards, carrier calculated shipping, abandoned cart recovery, and an automatic discount feature.
